Dhyey Solanki joined the Ozone Secretariat as an Environmental Affairs Officer in April 2025.

He has research experience in the remote sensing of the atmosphere, atmospheric radiative transfer, and large-scale climate dynamics. Earlier in his career, Dhyey worked as a Research Intern at the Global Centre for Environment and Energy at Ahmedabad University, under the guidance of contributing authors and one of the co-chairs of IPCC Working Group III, which focuses on climate change mitigation.

Before joining UNEP, Dhyey worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Colorado State University, USA, and more recently held a short-term research position as a Project Research Assistant at the Centre for Climate Studies at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.

Dhyey holds a Master’s degree in Atmospheric Science from Colorado State University, USA, and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering from L.D. College of Engineering, Ahmedabad, India.
