Pliva Co. is the only company in the territory of the Republic of Croatia producing MDIs. There is no production of DPIs in our country. In 2003, Pliva Co. produced three MDIs: Becotide, Ventolin and Gnadion. Reported amounts by products were:

Becotide – Active ingredient: Beklometazon dipropionat

Produced: total amount of 34710 cans

CFC used: total amount of 199.2 kg of CFC11 and 516 kg of CFC12

Ventolin – Active ingredient: Salbutamol

Produced: total amount of 276135 cans

CFC used: total amount of 1593.6 kg of CFC11 and 4128 kg of CFC12

Gnadion – Active ingredient Beklometazon dipropionat

Produced: total amount of 76250 cans

CFC used: total amount of 198.4 kg of CFC11 and 514.4 kg of CFC12

Mentioned MDIs were produced for the local (Croatian) market only.

GlaxoSmithKline Co. is a company which is importing MDI and selling it on the local (Croatian) market. Reported amounts of sold products:
